968 Aero Front Chin Spoiler

RSR9 presents an exclusive development for all Porsche 968 owners: The 968 Aero Front Chin Spoiler.

While the factory 968 Turbo S front splitter appears as a nice and subtle upgrade, we wanted to add “a bit more” and created a new design.

The Aero Front Chin Spoiler protrudes significantly further than the factory 968 Turbo S front splitter. Its center section is identical with the factory unit, the side sections are designed completely different allowing for more downforce and a more aggressive appearance.

The 968 Aero Front Chin Spoiler uses the same attachment points as the factory 968 turbo S front splitter and can easily be mounted.

Production lead time (if not in stock) is approx. 10 working days from payment.

Vented Badge Banel for Porsche models 944 Turbo / S2

Another innovative product from RSR9 which combines convincing functionality and improved performance with a highly-appealing design that perfectly compliments the stylistic elements of the Porsche models 951 and S2.

The vented badge panel offers the following key aspects:

  • High quality and lightweight design – The badge panel offers a high quality with a fine gelcoat surface which is almost ready to be primered and is built lightweight FRP (Fiberglass Reinforced Plastic).
  • Perfectly harmonic design – It perfectly compliments the original bumper with its intercooler air intake and therefore looks very nicely integrated and ‘factory’.
  • A bolt-in solution – The entire complexly shaped panel is made from one piece only using multi-piece-mould-manufacturing processing. This ensures precise fitment and a simple installation.
  • Performance gains and reduced engine thermic loads – Cooler air getting into the cylinders means increased performance and reduced thermic loads on the engine, our badge panel almost doubles the air that is being fed to the intercooler leading to a significantly improved air flow through the intercooler which allows it to work more efficiently resulting in lower thermal loads on the engine as well.

For maximum Intercooler efficiency, we recommend fitting the Vented Badge Panel combined with our Turbo RS Heat Extraction Vents.

Production lead time (if not in stock) is approx. 10 working days from payment.

“993 Turbo S Style” Brake Air Intake with Projector Lights for Porsche 968

RSR9 offers all Porsche 968 enthusiasts an aesthetically pleasing and functional upgrade which perfectly complements the unique design of the 968 and its contemporary “design-brother” the 993, the 993 Turbo S in particular.

During the second to the last year of production of the 993 (1997), Porsche offered the 993 Turbo S of which ultimately 183 cars were sold. The 993 Turbo S exterior featured yellow brake calipers, a slightly larger rear wing, a 4-pipe exhaust, air scoops behind the doors and also a distinctive combination of Brake Air Intake and projector style headlight.

We have acquired an OEM set of 993 Turbo S Brake Air intakes and modified them so that they perfectly fit the 968. Then we have sourced a set of E-approved high performance projector light units. The finished result looks stunning and is yet highly functional by providing the brakes with cool air as well as improved lighting performance.

The Brake Air Intake / Projector assembly bolts into the original location of the front side lights replacing them and fit precisely without any modifications required to the bumper (they slide in on one end and on the other are bolted in place).

The air intakes are made from FRP with a high quality gelcoat finish requiring very little effort to be primered then painted to your Porsche 968s colour code.

The kit includes:

  • Pair of 993 Turbo S Style Brake Air Intakes
  • Pair of E-approved projector style headlight units

Production lead time (if not in stock) is approx. 10 working days from payment.

Complete Racing Gear Shift Lever for 924, 944, 944S2, 944 turbo

Our complete racing gear shift lever replaces the original shift-knob with a rigid and backlash-free Aluminium construction available in 113mm Shift bar length. Compared to the original knob’s vertical location, the sport shift knob is positioned 94mm higher. The gear shift throw is reduced for 9%. The actual top knob comes configured with a glossy black plastic ball (a polished Aluminium version or a knob out of the product portfolio of MOMO can be optionally configured – please contact us).

The racing shift lever is available in two versions: a 10mm version designed for the use with good condition (non-worn) or new gear shift rods and an 11mm version for worn gear shift rods. The 11mm version allows to achieve a perfect backlash-free by drilling the shift rod bush to exactly 11mm’s which can be done in the installed position.

The scope of delivery comprises:

  • Racing shift lever base
  • Shift lever bar (113mm)
  • Knob
  • Sleeve made from genuine leather

Production lead time (if not in stock) is approx. 10 working days from payment.

968 Clubsport Style Rear Seat Delete Assembly for Porsche 944, 944S2, 951 and 968

Introduction

The Porsche 968 Clubsport has become known as a legend of the track due to its near perfect 50/50 weight distribution associated with the use of the famous and heavily underestimated Porsche transaxle setup (engine and clutch are located at the front while the gearbox sits at the back of the car).

With the Transaxle models now being affordable on the used car market and backed up by a 100% OEM parts supply provided by Porsche, the 924, 944, 951, 944 S2 and 968 are now considered by many enthusiasts as the track day car of choice which is also backed up by various ‘one make’ race series accommodating these cars.

Most novice track day users prefer to start tweaking the cars handling by fitting up-rated suspension systems and adjustable top mount camber plates then shortly followed by the removal of as much unneeded weight from inside the car as possible.

Whereby a racer or serious track day enthusiast will opt for a complete interior removal, most prefer to simply remove the extremely heavy and usueless rear seat and replace the front seats with lightweight aftermarket bucket seats.

Porsche recognised this requirement already in the Nineties when they introduced the Porsche 968 CS (Club Sport) which was effectively a lightened and partially stripped version of the 968 and 968 Sport. The first thing that Porsche chose to do was drop the rear seats using a moulded carpet covered with fibre board which sat in place of the rear seats, glued to the cars floor pan. The Porsche 968 CS proved to be extremely popular in the UK and Europe but was never shipped to the US and Canadian markets.

The RSR9 rear seat delete

We purchased an original 968 CS rear seat delete from Porsche to try and retro-fit it into our Porsche 944 Turbo (951/952). We noticed that the Original Equipment 968 Clubsport Rear Seat Delete is not a bolt-in upgrade for other Transaxle models. This lead us to develop an upgrade part which would perfectly fit to all Porsche models 924, 944, 951/952, S2 and 968 cars alike. The end result is a product which offers perfect fitment due to various factors mainly being that the carpet side and rear edge shapes have been designed different by us.

We have developed a product which is better constructed, lighter and better fitting by using the OEM rear seat delete as a basis to manufacture an FRP (Fibre Reinforced Plastic) reinforcing element which is then press fitted with a matching OEM style carpet material. This multi-component design offers best fitting characteristics and results in a very high-quality product making it very popular among Transaxle enthusiasts

Currently our Porsche rear seat delete is only available in black.

The finished product weighs only approx. 2.6kg resulting in a saving of approximately 10kg over the factory rear seats.

This product is also an excellent addition for those wanting to install a rear harness bar for the use of 4, 5 or 6 point harnesses combined with bucket/sports seats.

Production lead time (if not in stock) is approx. 10 working days from payment.

Turbo RS Front Chin Spoiler with GT2 Style Winglets for 944 turbo (951) and 944 S2

Due to numerous customer requests related to the “one-off-build” front chin spoiler on the well-known red and white-striped 951 street project car, DEUTSCH NINE had decided to further develop and refine this prototype and offer it to its customers as an upgrade for all Porsche 951 and 944 S2. The chin spoiler features a nicely shaped basic chin spoiler design and distinctive “GT2 style” corner splitters added on each side combining additional downforce and a very nice design that perfectly complements the formal expression of the timeless style of the 951 / S2 models.

The chin spoiler is made from high quality FRP with white gel coat and in contrary to the first version offers a completely closed bottom part resulting in a more robust and solid design.

It is produced using multiple partial moulds for best shaping. The Turbo RS front chin spoiler can be directly mounted under the batwing using the same attachment points as the batwing and longer screws or it can also be mounted without the batwing.

If not on stock, this item is produced on order with a lead time of 10 working days.
